Dr Robert Annan

Dr Robert Annan has been appointed interim CEO of Mitacs, effective July 1st, replacing Dr Arvind Gupta, who is becoming the next president of the Univ of British Columbia (R$, March 13/14). Annan has been Mitacs' chief research officer since 2011, in charge of policy research and analysis as well as overseeing standards of excellence for all sponsored research. He will work closely with Gupta over the next three months to ensure a smooth leadership transition.
