Dr Pierre Meulien

Dr Pierre Meulien has been appointed chief scientific officer of Genome British Columbia, replacing Dr Don Riddle. Meulien was recently chief executive of the Dublin Molecular Medicine Centre, which linked the scientific and translational research capacity of Irish universities and teaching hospitals. Meulien is a veteran research manager with prior experience at Aventis Pasteur in Toronto and Lyon France and currently serves as chairman of the scientific advisory committee of the European Malaria Vaccine Initiative. At Genome BC, he will work with management and researchers to promote its scientific strategy focusing on genomics, proteomics and bioinformatics within the province's biotechnology and life sciences community. Meulien holds a PhD from the Univ of Edinburgh….
