Dr Pascal Spothelfer has been appointed president and CEO of Genome British Columbia, replacing the retiring Dr Alan Winter. Spothelfer has a strong background in corporate management and social sciences and humanities knowledge grounded in a legal education. He holds a PhD in law from the Univ of Basel (Switzerland) and an MBA from INSEAD (France). Since moving to Canada in the 1990s, he has held several senior positions including president and CEO of Spectrum Signal Processing, president and CEO of the BC Technology Industry Association, president and CEO of NovAtel Inc and VP communications and community partnerships at the Univ of British Columbia.
