Dr Mark Young has resigned from his position as chief operating officer of Biomira Inc to pursue other opportunities. Young will stay on in a consulting capacity until June 30 and the firm will not seek a replacement during that time. He is credited with helping to transform Edmonton-based Biomira into a products-oriented firm and helping to move its lead product — Theratope —closer to commercialization.
