Dr Brian MacVicar and Dr Jon Stoessl have been appointed co-directors of the Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health — a partnership between the Univ of British Columbia's Faculty of Medicine and Vancouver Coastal Health. MacVicar and Stoessl have been acting co-directors for the past year following the departure of founding director Dr Max Cyander. MacVicar is a professor, head of basic neuroscience in UBC's department of psychiatry and a Canada Research Chair in Neuroscience.
