Dr Arnold Naimark has been appointed chair of Health Canada’s science advisory board for a three-year term. He replaces Dr Linda Lusby who has chaired the board in an acting capacity for the past year following the resignation of Dr Judith Hall in 2004. Naimark had a long and distinguished career at the Univ of Manitoba where he received his medical degree and held a number of senior positions including president and vice chancellor in the 1980s. Naimark was the founding chair of both the Canada Health Services Research Foundation and the Canadian Biotechnology Advisory Committee, and remains chair of the latter….
