Defence Research and Development Canada and Public Safety Canada have issued a 7th call for proposals under the Chemical, Radiological-Nuclear and Explosives (CBRNE) Research and Technology Initiative (CRTI). Up to $25 million will be available for this round, with brief synopses due by September 10th and the deadline for full proposals set for December 11. Successful projects will be announced in February/08 in the areas of technology acceleration, research and technology development and technology demonstration. Eligible areas of R&D include risk assessment and priority setting, medical and casualty management, criminal and national security investigation capabilities and food security.
