The CBRN Research and Technology Initiative (CRTI) has issued its fourth call for proposals in the areas of technology acceleration, research and technology development and technology demonstration. The deadline for a brief synopsis is January 5/05 and successfully screened applicants have until February 12/05 to submit detailed proposals. Projects must involve technology development relating to chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) threats. The $170-million, five-year CRTI fund was announced in 2001 and to date has awarded $95.2 million to 65 projects and spent $20.6 million on 47 technology acquisitions.
