CRTI invests in new crop of security R&D projects

CRTI — Chemical, Biological, Radiological-Nuclear and Explosives Research and Technology Initiative — has invested more than $35 million in 24 R&D projects addressing S&T priorities for public safety and security. Managed by Defence R&D Canada, the projects focus on research and technology development, technology acceleration and technology demonstration. A wide variety of private sector and academic partners are involved in the projects. Renewed in 2006 with $175 million, CRTI involves 21 government departments and agencies....
