CRC program has new equity process for nominations

The Canada Research Chairs (CRC) program has introduced a new agreement on equity in its nomination process for chair-holders. The new process ends a three-year old mediation with a group of professors who registered a complaint. The agreement targets equality of opportunity for women, the disabled, Aboriginal persons and visible minorities. The CRC will set concrete targets for each group and monitor progress....
