CRC and India’s C-DOT sign joint development pact

The Communications Research Centre (CRC) has signed an agreement with India’s Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) to develop broadband wireless technologies for rural and remote areas. The agreement focuses on applications development of a CRC-created technology called Microwave-Light Organized Network. The system avoids the costly laying of fibre-optic cables or using other expensive infrastructure technologies by distributing broadband Internet wirelessly through an antenna network. CRC and C-DOT will work together to develop technologies and solutions for Indian and global markets....
