CFI Leaders Opportunity Fund awards $28 million

The Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) has awarded $28 million under its Leaders Opportunity Fund and Infrastructure Operating Fund to 149 projects at 35 institutions across Canada. The projects involve 193 researchers, 50 of whom were recruited from outside the country. Institutions in Ontario and Quebec were home to the majority of projects at 65 and 44 respectively, followed by Nova Scotia (13), Alberta (10), British Columbia (5), Manitoba (5), Newfoundland (5), and Saskatchewan (3)....
