Canadian health IT firms converge on Philadelphia

The Canadian Consulate General (New York) has mounted a cross-border market immersion program for 11 Canadian healthcare IT companies at Philadelphia's University City Science Centre. The November 19th event saw firms participate in demonstrations as part of an eHealth Innovation Summit that offers high-potential, early-stage Canadian startups space in a Canadian Technology Accelerator. The Philadelphia science centre is part of the nation's oldest urban research parks and the program is designed to attract jobs to the region by "giving companies a safe landing place for international companies", according to Dr Stephen Tang, the centre's president and CEO....
