Italy and Canada have signed a Joint Science, Technology and Innovation Action Plan to enhance collaboration in the key sectors of marine sciences, the Arctic, aerospace, agriculture and agri-food and life sciences. The action plan — part of Canada's Global Markets Action Plan — builds on the 2007 Tavolo Canada initiative which has spurred new R&D linkages and joint projects between research institutes, universities, companies and public and private sector laboratories.
