July 12, 2017

The Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE) have signed a memorandum of understanding with Boston-based FinTech Sandbox to expand the non-profit organization’s model into Canada. Once open, the Ontario program will offer data products from 32 partners to qualified financial services start-ups in Ontario, with plans to expand into the rest of Canada. FinTech Sandbox’s decision to expand into Ontario is an acknowledgement of Toronto’s status as a leading financial services centre and a start-up hub. The partnership will offer qualified start-ups free access to data feeds for development, cloud hosting and engagement with a network of fintech entrepreneurs and finance professionals.
