AUTO21 has announced $22 million in funding over two years for 40 projects involving nearly 200 academic researchers. AUTO21 is contributing $10 million, augmented by $12 million in funding from automakers, parts manufacturers and material suppliers. The projects will also help to train 400 graduate students in areas such as material research, biofuels and clean diesel and manufacturing processes.
