Atlantis receives TPC support for training software

A training program for military aircraft maintenance technicians being developed by Atlantis Systems International, Brampton ON, has received $1.2 million in assistance from Technology Partnerships Canada. The firm will conduct R&D for its Simulation Based Interactive Training System (SBITS) over the next two years, initially creating 12 new jobs and potential for another six if the project's first phase proves successful. The SBITS program is being aimed for military use, as well as colleges and vocational schools, and could be expended for more advanced training levels including pilot training course development. Founded in 1978, Atlantis has developed computer-based training systems which are used by defense forces throughout the world....
