Zenon to develop new water filtration membrane

Zenon Environmental Inc is undertaking a $30.6-million R&D project with $9.2 million in assistance from Technology Partnerships Canada. The company will develop technologies for a new type of filtration membrane for water treatment that is thinner, cheaper to produce and more energy efficient. The new membrane is expected to make Zenon products more affordable to smaller communities and could pave the way for expansion into the wastewater treatment market. Zenon is based in Burlington ON and is part of an emerging water technology cluster in the region….
