TPC invests in 3-D visualization software

i3Dimensions Inc (i3D) of Vancouver has received $7 million from Technology Partnerships Canada (TPC) to undertake a $24-million R&D project to expand its interactive, three-dimensional visualization technology. The project will allow i3D to modify its NGRAIN technology to meet the requirements of industry sectors such as education, manufacturing, aerospace, defence, medicine and entertainment. The privately held firm is seeking global leadership niches in 3-D graphics technology and the TPC investment will create or maintain 353 jobs over the project’s duration....
