Tim Jackson has been appointed CEO of The Accelerator Centre and associate VP commercialization at the Univ of Waterloo, Jackson is a veteran venture capitalist and a partner in Tech Capital Partners, a venture capital firm focused on the wireless, new media and Internet sectors. Prior to that, he was CFO and CEO of privately held PixStream, which was sold to Cisco Systems Inc, San Jose CA, in 2000 for $550 million. Jackson replaces Dr Tom Corr, who was recently appointed president and CEO of the Ontario Centres of Excellence (R$, January 25/10)….
