Three NCEs pass mid-term review

Three Networks of Centres of Excellence created in 1999 have passed their mid-term reviews and received a total of $39 million to fund their research through to March 31/06. The Canadian Stroke Network, AquaNet and the Canadian Network for Vaccines and Immunotherapeutics were reviewed by expert panels that examined research excellence, training of highly qualified personnel, network exchange and technology exploitation and network management. The expert panels also suggested a range of mid-term adjustments, although the number and nature of those changes remain confidential....
