James Skippen has been appointed president and CEO of Wi-LAN, replacing the retiring Bill Dunbar. His appointment coincides with the move of the Calgary-based firm's headquarters to Ottawa. Skippen comes to Wi-LAN from MOSAID Technologies Inc where he held the position of senior VP patent licensing and general counsel. Wi-LAN will retain its Calgary operations, but the move of head office is reportedly due to Skippen's desire to remain in the Ottawa region. He will be responsible for exploiting Wi-LAN's extensive wireless technology patent portfolio....
