Iter Canada pushes for US return to project

Iter Canada continues to make the case to the United States that it should rejoin the Iter International organization as discussions continue over siting and construction of the massive research project. Iter Canada chair and CEO Dr Peter Barnard recently made a presentation in Washington extolling the benefits of a Canadian site for the project to the US Fusion Energy Scientific Advisory Committee of the Department of Energy, which provides advice to that department’s office of science. The US withdrew from Iter International several years ago during the project’s design stage in reaction to the slow pace of negotiations….
