Iain Stewart has been appointed DG innovation policy branch at Industry Canada. He returns to the department after serving as a special advisor to Technology Partnerships Canada where he assisted in its re-design. Stewart was previously with Industry Canada’s industry sector (textiles, apparel, forestry) and the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, where he worked on the Atlantic Innovation Fund. He fills a key vacancy left by Marie Tobin who departed at the end of 2004. The position was initially filled by Marshall Moffat, who has since left to become DG small and medium enterprises at Public Works & Government Services Canada….
