Genome BC to boost industry uptake with WD funding

Genome British Columbia has received $715,000 from Western Economic Diversification Canada (WD) to increase the user-pull of relevant genomics technologies by existing companies and organizations, as well as supporting new companies. The funding targets genomics technologies to ensure pest-free wood products and identify the origins of agri-fisheries products by matching industry with academia and addressing the gaps in the innovation pipeline. Partners to be included by Genome BC include FPInnovations, Canfor, BC Food Processors Association, Summerland Varieties Group and sister genome centres Genome Alberta and Genome Prairie....
