Drs Kevin Costello and Davide Gaiotto

Drs Kevin Costello and Davide Gaiotto have been recruited to Canada to assume two new chair positions at the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics. The chairs were created with a $4-million donation from the Krembil Foundation — an amount matched by the Perimeter Institute. Irish-born Costello will hold the Krembil Foundation Galileo Galilei Chair in Theoretical Physics. He graduated from Cambridge Univ and is a professor of mathematics at Northwestern Univ. Italian-born Gaiotto holds a PhD from Princeton Univ, completed post-doctoral work at Harvard Univ and was a long-term member of the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton until 2011. Perimeter is currently recruiting two more chairs, bringing its research chairs program to six....
