DRDC funds 26 safety and security projects

Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) has announced $20 in funding for 26 industrial, academic and government projects aimed at enhancing safety and security. Project leads include DRDC, the Communications Research Centre, Environment Canada, London Police Service, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Transport Canada and the Yukon government. The projects are funded under the Canadian Safety and Security Program through DRDC's Centre for Security Science. They will utilize S&T to anticipate, prevent, mitigate, prepare for, respond to, and recover from acts of terrorism, crime, natural disasters, and serious accidents….
