Dr Robert Crawhall is stepping down as president and DG of NanoQuébec after a little more than two years. After his departure, effective October 22, he will be replaced on an interim basis by Benoit Balmana, managing director at Nanoledge Inc and a former NanoQuébec board member. Crawhall will begin at an Ottawa-based non-governmental organization October 25th. While at NanoQuébec, Crawhall spearheaded a major re-organization of the provincial agency and initiated several major projects. Prior to joining NanoQuébec, he spent seven years heading up the National Capital Institute of Telecommunications, following a 15-year career at Bell-Northern Research and Nortel Networks Corp where he held the positions of director of advanced strategic planning and director of disruptive network technologies. NanoQuébec plans to initiate an executive search for his replacement in the coming weeks.....
