Dr Kevin Yallup has been appointed chief technology office of a new Alberta-based organization dedicated to the packaging and assembly of nano and micro-based technology devices. Yallup was a key contributor and project leader on the original study that led to the formation of the Alberta Centre for Advanced MNT (Microsystems and Nanotechnology) Products (ACAMP). He will lead the engineering team that supports companies producing MNTB products, having had 15 years in the MNT field in Europe. iNovia Capital has added two new venture partners to its network, strengthening its expertise in digital media and life sciences. Geoff Judge is a New York City-based angel investor with a long track record in digital media. His most prominent venture is 24/7 Real Media, which he co-founded and took public in the late 1990s. Roy Trayhern is a Montreal-based specialist in the commercialization of medical devices. He headed up several divisions of Smith & Nephew plc, including Dermagraft Joint Venture, a human tissue engineering company based in California. iNovia is a seed and early-stage venture capital firm. It was formerly called MSBi Capital and was one of four valorisation organizations supported by Valorisation-Recherche Quebec (VRQ) with $11 million in seed funding to commercialize technologies from McGill Univ, Sherbrooke Univ and Bishop's Univ….
