Dr Kevin Smith has been appointed board chair of the Canada Foundation for Innovation, the third person to hold the position since its inception in 1997. Succeeding Dr John Evans and Dr Williams Leggatt, Smith is president and CEO of St Joseph's Health System and an associate professor at McMaster Univ's school of medicine. He holds a doctorate in philosophy from the Univ of Sussex and completed the CEO program at the Wharton School of Business, Univ of Pennsylvania. He has been a CFI board director since 2007….
