Dr Kate Moran

Dr Kate Moran has been appointed president and CEO of Ocean Networks Canada (ONC), replacing founding president and CEO Dr Martin Taylor. ONC was established in 2007 to manage the NEPTUNE Canada and VENUS cabled ocean networks and subsequently its Centre for Enterprise and Management. Moran was previously appointed to the position of director of NEPTUNE Canada last fall (R$, September 13/11). Prior to arriving at the Univ of Victoria, she served a two-year term as assistant director of the White House Office of S&T in Washington DC advising on oceans, the Arctic and global warming….
