Dr Jim DeMesa has been appointed president and CEO of Micrologix Biotech Inc, Vancouver, replacing interim president & CEO William (Bud) Foran who is also the firm’s board chairman. Foran assumed the lead duties following the resignation of Dany Hadary, who left the company abruptly last January. De Mesa comes to Micrologix from GenSci Regeneration Sciences Inc, which he helped move from a small R&D firm to a fully integrated biotech company within three years.
