Dr Jean Rouleau

Dr Jean Rouleau has been appointed scientific director of CIHR's Institute of Circulatory and Respiratory Health (ICRH). Rouleau replaces Dr Lori West who has served as interim scientific director since the departure of Dr Peter Liu earlier this year (R$, April 23/10). Rouleau is dean of the Univ of Montreal's faculty of medicine and practices cardiology at the Montreal Heart Institute. He has been a member of the CIHR governing council since 2005. Rouleau earned his MD from the Univ of Ottawa, completed clinical training at McGill Univ and did his postdoctoral work in San Francisco….
