Dr Jane Aubin

Dr Jane Aubin has been appointed scientific director of the CIHR Institute of Musculoskeletal Health and Arthritis (CIHR-IMHA), effective January 1/07. A professor of molecular and medical genetics at the Univ of Toronto, Aubin is a member of the university's research advisory board and vice chair of the CIHR-IMHA's advisory board. She holds a BSc in chemistry and mathematics from Queen's Univ, a PhD in medical biophysics from the Univ of Toronto and completed her post-doctoral training at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry. Aubin's research focuses on mesenchymal stem cells and regulation of osteoblasts and is an international leader in developing models for human bone disease.
