Dr Donald Mackay

Dr Donald Mackay has been awarded the 2001 Honda Prize for his contribution to environmental chemistry. The Trent Univ professor is globally recognized for his modelling of the fate of chemicals in the environment, particularly their long-distance transport and concentration in regions like the Canadian Arctic. He founded the Canadian Environmental Modelling Centre which conducts research to improve the selection, management and regulation or banning of chemicals.
