Dr Amit Chakma has been appointed president of the Univ of Western Ontario for a five-year term effective July 1. He replaces Dr Paul Davenport who steps down after 15 years of service. Chakma is currently provost, VP academic and a professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Univ of Waterloo. He was previously VP research at the Univ of Regina....
