David Miller has been appointed chair of the Council of Canadian Academies' Expert Panel on Potential for New and Innovative Uses of Information and Communications Technologies. Miller is a former mayor of Toronto who is current counsel, international business and sustainability at Aird & Berlis LLP. He is also Future of Cities Fellow at the Polytechnic Institute of New York Univ. Miller was mayor of Toronto from 2003 until 2010. While in office he chaired the C40 Cities Climate leadership group from 2008 to 2010….

The Information Technology Association of Canada (ITAC) has appointed Jennifer Evans as its new chair, replacing Doug McCuaig, Canada president of the CGI Group Inc. An ITAC board member since 2009, Evans founded Sequentia Communications in 2002 and became CEO and chief strategist of Sequentia Environics when the Environics group of companies acquired Sequentia. At Sequentia Environics, she developed several methodologies for corporate digital communications strategies helping companies drive traffic, generate sales and build customer loyalty.
