Dave Caputo

Dave Caputo has been selected as the Entrepreneur of the Year by Canada's Venture Capital and Private Equity Association for his leadership role with Waterloo ON-based Sandvine Inc, a developer of broadband network applications that identify the types and behaviours of network traffic. As Sandvine's co-founder, president and CEO, Caputo and his management team successfully took the company public on the London UK and Toronto stock exchanges, raising a total of $50 million and achieving a market cap of $580 million. Celtic House Venture Partners led Sandvine's $20-million seed financing in 2001 and remains its single largest shareholder.
