Corsa raises $16.5 million to further SDN hardware

Corsa Technology — a Kanata ON-based provider of networking switching hardware focused on delivering programmable data planes for Software Defined Networking (SDN) — has raised $16.5 million in series B financing. The funding round is led by Roadmap Capital Inc, Toronto, and includes Celtic House Venture Partners, BDC Capital and an unnamed "strategic technology company". Corsa is aimed at the $1-billion market for SDN switching and routing equipment that can quickly scale for large network applications used in cloud-based networks. The latest financing follows a $4.2-million series A round in July/13 led by Celtic House....
