CICP pre-qualifies 19 firms for government contracts

The Canadian Innovation Commercialization Program (CICP) has selected the first batch of firms which will seek to test their technologies with federal departments. The pre-qualified proposals were selected by a selection committee, 70% of which comes from the private sector. Its task was to validate the ranking of proposals based on reviews prepared by the Industrial Research Assistance Program. The next step is to find a match with the firms' technologies within government. The pre-qualified firms include GestureTek, Bubble Technology Industries Inc, Paradigm Shift Technologies Inc, LED Roadway Lighting Ltd, 2G Robotics and Bombardier Transportation. The $40-million pilot program is managed by Public Works and Government Services Canada….
