Canada and India sign R&D cooperation pact

Canada will spend $6.75 million over the next five years to conduct collaborative research with India. Canada will contribute to a dedicated fund, which will be matched by India.The agreement between the two countries includes the establishment of an Indo-Canadian nanotechnology centre in Delhi and research cooperation in the areas of sustainable energy, biotechnology, health care and medical devices.
