Blackberry names Bryan Palma new president and COO

Former Cisco senior vice-president Bryan Palma has been named as president and chief operating officer at BlackBerry Ltd, where he will take responsibility for core product and services and helm Blackberry’s effort to secure the Enterprise of Things. Palma will oversee teams that handle BlackBerry Technology Solutions, Enterprise Software and Services, and Mobility Solutions, and will report to executive chairman and CEO John Chen. At Cisco Systems, Inc, Palma served as Senior Vice President of Advanced Services Group and General Manager of Advanced Services Group, where he led the development and execution of the professional, managed, and subscription services portfolio. Palma also has experience at Boeing, Hewlett Packard, PepsiCo, and the U.S. Secret Service.
