BCE enters final stage of convergence product dev’t

BCE Inc, Montreal, has entered the final stage of development for its ComboBox convergence product in collaboration with Toronto’s ExtendMedia Inc. The device will allow customers to explore optimized portals, receive email, use instant messaging, play games, watch and record programming and perform other functions by using a television, remote control and wireless keyboard. ExtendMedia will review and analyze current and emerging interactive technologies, applications and services that make effective use of new media properties and strengthen BCE’s brand recognition.
