ART acquires exclusive licence to patent portfolio

ART Advanced Research Technologies Inc, Montreal, has bolstered its competitive position in the field of optical molecular imaging following its acquisition of an extensive patent portfolio held by a pioneer in the florescence spectroscopy at the Univ of Maryland. The deal gives the bio-optical imaging company exclusive licensing rights to Dr. Joseph Lakowicz’s extensive optical molecular imaging patent portfolio – technologies that will help in the development of new therapeutic and diagnostic drugs and treatments. Lakowicz, a world renowned biochemist and molecular biologist, also becomes a member of ART’s scientific advisory board. Terms of the deal were not disclosed....
